Every formula on this page is made in Europe to the EU’s organic standard — no GMO ingredients, no added sucrose or corn syrup, and lactose as the main carbohydrate, the way it is in breast milk. We carry the full range of stages from birth through toddlerhood, in cow’s milk, goat’s milk and specialty recipes, sourced directly from the manufacturers so you always know what you’re getting. Not sure where to start? Compare cow and goat milk formulas, or filter by your baby’s age below.
What makes European organic baby formula different
European infant formula is governed by EU Regulation 2016/127, one of the strictest infant nutrition frameworks in the world. Three differences matter most to parents:
Lactose comes first. EU rules require lactose to be the primary carbohydrate in milk-based infant formula, and restrict added sucrose. You will not find corn syrup solids or brown rice syrup in a European formula the way you often do in American ones.
DHA is mandatory. Since February 2020, every infant and follow-on formula sold in the EU must contain DHA (omega-3) at levels linked to normal brain and eye development. It is not an optional premium upgrade.
Organic means audited. To carry the EU organic leaf, a formula must contain at least 95% organic agricultural ingredients, produced without synthetic pesticides, GMOs or growth hormones, with antibiotic use restricted to genuine animal health need. Farms are inspected annually.
Some of the brands we carry go further still. Demeter (biodynamic) and Bioland certifications impose requirements above the EU organic baseline — on herd management, feed sourcing and farm biodiversity.

Choosing between organic formula types
Cow’s milk formula is the standard starting point and suits most healthy babies. It is the widest range, the most researched, and usually the best value per feed.
Goat’s milk formula is naturally A2 and forms softer curds in the stomach, which many parents find gentler. It is not suitable for babies with a diagnosed cow’s milk protein allergy, since the proteins are similar enough to trigger a reaction.
Hypoallergenic (HA) formula uses partially hydrolysed protein and is intended for babies at elevated risk of allergy. Discuss it with your pediatrician first.
Comfort formulas are formulated for babies with gas, colic-type symptoms or general digestive fussiness.
Anti-Reflux (AR) formula is thickened to help reduce frequent spit-up, and should be used under medical guidance.
Ready to Feed bottles are pre-mixed and sterile — for night feeds, travel and the newborn weeks.
Understanding European formula stages
European brands number their formulas by age rather than using a single “infant” product:
- Stage PRE — from birth, lactose-only, closest to breast milk, can be fed for the whole first year
- Stage 1 — from birth to around 6 months
- Stage 2 — follow-on milk, from around 6 months, once solids have started
- Stage 3 — from around 10–12 months
- Stage 4 — toddler milk, from around 12–24 months
Higher stages adjust protein, iron and vitamin levels to match what a growing baby needs, and some add starch for satiety. You do not have to move up a stage on a set date — many families stay on Stage 1 or PRE longer, and that is fine.
